About Us

We’re united by a shared commitment to transparency and democratic accountability

The Milton Project is driven by a small, dedicated team of volunteers who believe that public information should truly be public. Founded in 2025, we’ve set out to untangle the complex web of financial influence in UK politics using the tools of data science and investigative research. While our team is lean, we’re united by a shared commitment to transparency and democratic accountability — and we’re just getting started. Most of our data comes directly from official UK government and parliamentary sources, accessed through public APIs.

We collect and structure this information — from MP voting records to financial disclosures — in our own database, then translate it into formats that are easy for the public to explore and understand. This data already exists, but it’s scattered, technical, and often buried in bureaucratic language. Our job is to bring it into the light — clearly, accessibly, and free for all.

What we've done so far

We let the data speak for itself. Our role is to present verified, factual information in a clear and accessible way, without spin or partisan interpretation. We’re a nonprofit, and we don’t accept funding that could influence our findings.
